Overview of Christianity
Spiritual Maturity
When out of fellowship, then only the academic aspects of your learning, will function. The spiritual part does not function while out of fellowship.
Your soul assimilates and houses these two different aspects of information, differently.
Typically all information enters into your soul by academic means. It builds your mentality, your norms and standards, your beliefs, your thoughts and so forth. You grow up mentally and learn to mature, to accept responsibility and obligations in life, or reject them, and so forth.
Your spiritual side, however, builds up a very different aspect of your soul.
When in fellowship, your learning experience is supported by the Holy Spirit. This is something that is invisible and something that you cannot feel or even sense. It just happens.
The Holy Spirit brings spiritual truth into your soul, transfers it through your human spirit and then when you accept or believe the information, the Holy Spirit transfers that spiritual information into your soul and there it becomes the basic material for the construction of a spiritual structure within your soul.
That basic material, which we in general refer to as bible doctrine, is the fundamental material for the construction of the framework of a palace, or fortress, or temple, or home within your soul.
When you utilize the doctrine you have learned, then that production becomes the finishing material for that spiritual structure that you have been framing within your soul.
Doctrine is the framing material, and production becomes the finishing or decorative material of the soul.
Combined they all become the muscle and strength of the soul. Which in turn builds up your faith and confidence in God and in all that God has promised, and all things spiritual.
Spiritual production is often times referred to as the gold, silver and precious stone components of your soul. They are the aspects that have intrinsic value, the beautiful aspects of the soul. They are the permanent finish work of the soul.
All production that is accumulated when you are out of fellowship, is called wood, hay, and stubble, or the things that have little if any value and certainly are not permanent. This is the production of the carnal life.
The carnal life is the life that is not spiritual, or the life which is outside of the fellowship sphere.
All unbelievers are carnal by default. All believers that sin and do not confess their sins, are living within their carnal life. Only believers who confess their sins on a regular daily basis, live within their spiritual sphere, which we call being in fellowship.
So, to summarize.
The spiritual life must be lived from within the fellowship sphere.
All things spiritual, must be learned and performed and accomplished while in fellowship.
